May is beautiful in Kentucky and there is so many fun activities that it is too hard to choose.
Of course the first Saturday in May DERBY DAY. This year it was a record crowd at Churchill Downs. Hats are popular for both men and women. Every size and color can be found in the stores in town and even at the track. This year really big hats were in and feathers were everywhere.
If you ever want to buy a hat this is the city for you!
21ST ANNUAL GARDENERS FAIR AT LOCUST GROVE THIS WEEKEND
Nearly 60 vendors specializing in all things horticultural will be on hand this coming weekend at Locust Groves Gardeners Fair. You can purchase flowers, plants and herbs and garden art and antiques. There will be lectures each day on such topics as beekeeping and pruning. And chickens and alpacas will on the grounds. Take a break for some delicious food supplied by food trucks featuring BBQ, crab cakes, and Gelato.
Hours for the Fair are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12.
