A NEW LOOK FOR A CLASSIC
Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" has been a favorite story for 171 years and a popular production each year in Louisville at Actors Theatre.
This year's production has been updated with new set pieces, costumes and lighting. Digital media has been added to enhance the magic of the play.
Little touches like the proscenium arch and a big curtain that crosses the stage and footlights that resemble candles from the Victorian age remind you of the time when the classic story was written.
New props and new costumes in rich fabrics and bright colors depict the clothes of the era, starting with Srooge's youth and follow him for 50 years.
There is still time to take in this new rendition of a favorite Christmas story.
It will be running through December 23 at Actors Theatre of Louisville
In the Pamela Brown Auditorium at 316 West Main Street
Tickets range from $25 to $75
