Schimpffs Confectionery where they make candy the old fashioned way
The museum at Shcimpffs is full of candy making equipment and photos of the store in years past.
This time of the year there are so many varied special events that you can take advantage of in Louisville. So take a break from the shopping and wrapping and plan some special time with family members and friends.
I love to visit Schimpffs Candy Museum and Confectionery. For more photos and hours they are open check out there website at www.schimpffs.com
It is a trip back in time to a candy store where the owners and staff still make fabulous candy using the same molds and methods of years gone by. You can stand and watch the candy production and tour a museum and then pick through the hundreds of candies to take to family and friends. My children and grandchildren love to go, and it has become a tradition with us to visit the day after Thanksgiving. I always bring samples back to the Inn as a special treat for the guests.
