Summertime Events at Locust Grove Historic Home


Third Annual Jane Austen Festival July 10 and 11

The Regency Period comes alive at Locust Grove with lectures, demonstrations of dueling and fencing, and a four course tea each day. Also, there is a regency emporium where you can purchase period clothing. Edward Maeder who created the fantastic bonnets and turbans for the PBS documantary on Dolley Madison will be on hand as well.


Antiques Fair June 27

The annual Antiques Market features dealers from all over the Midwest and South. The lawn around the house is full of booths featuring American Country and formal furniture, jewelry, silver, china and gardening antiques. The admission of $6 includes a tour of the historic house museum and out buildings.
