The birds are singing, and the daffodils have sprung 3 inches out of the soil in the gardens. The sun is warm and the days noticeably longer...can spring be far away?
Sure hope it will be here soon. Louisville is ready for a beautiful spring ...we deserve it after the ice storm we had in January.
We can't wait to visit the garden centers to buy annuals. Everyone in Louisville just has to have everything planted in time for the Kentucky Derby. That means all is planted and ready to go by the first Saturday in May. This year it falls on May 2nd., but the festivities start two weeks before with Thunder Over Louisville. It's the biggest fireworks display in the United States and draws over 500,000 people to watch the air show and fireworks at the rivers edge.

Finally, we have a blog set up. Cindy McDavid is a wizard at anything that has to do with computer knowledge. So she came over from Lexington and Nancy Swartzel joined us from her bed and breakfast in northern Kentucky. She has been working with Cindy on her own blog for her bed and breakfast - Willis Graves. The three of us had a great time setting up my new blog.
Much note taking later it was ready. Then we took some time off and headed to a nice dinner at J Alexanders. They have great salads and super good cocktails.
